Minimally invasive procedures use advanced technologies to avoid the need for the large incisions used in traditional open surgery. The development of these techniques has been an important advance for the benefit of patients and is useful for the treatment of many conditions. "Laparoscopic surgery" is a specific type of minimally invasive surgery, but the term is sometimes used to refer to minimally invasive surgery in general.
Minimally invasive surgery is any surgical procedure that is less invasive than open surgery used for the same purpose. Minimally invasive procedures typically involve the use of laparoscopes and remote control manipulation of instruments with indirect observation of the surgical field through an endoscope (Endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic tool, used to view the inside of organs, inspect for abnormalities and take biopsies).
Laparoscopy - surgery done through one or more small incisions, using small tubes and tiny cameras and surgical instruments - was one of the first types of minimally invasive surgery.
Another type of minimally invasive surgery is robotic surgery. It provides a magnified, 3-D view of the surgical site and helps the surgeon operate with precision, flexibility and control.

Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that develops in the cells of the cervix, i.e., the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. Cancer starts when cells in the body begin to grow out of control. The cervix is made of two parts and is covered with two different types of cells. The place where these two cell types meet in the cervix is called the transformation zone. Most cervical cancers begin in the cells in the transformation zone.

Cancer starts when cells in the body begin to grow out of control. Lung cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the lungs. Lung cancer begins in the lungs and may spread to lymph nodes or other organs in the body, such as the brain. When a person has lung cancer, they have abnormal cells that cluster together to form a tumor. Unlike normal cells, cancer cells grow without order or control, destroying the healthy lung tissue around them. These types of tumors are called malignant tumors. When the cancer cells spread, they prevent organs of the body from functioning properly.
What causes lung cancer?
Anyone can get lung cancer. Lung cancer happens when cells in the lung mutate or change. Various factors can cause this mutation (a permanent change in the DNA sequence of a gene) to happen. Most often, this change in lung cells happens when people breathe in dangerous, toxic substances.

Stomach cancer, also called gastric cancer, starts in the stomach. Stomach cancer usually begins in the mucus-producing cells that line the stomach. This type of cancer is called adenocarcinoma. Cancers starting in different sections of the stomach may cause different symptoms and tend to have different outcomes. The cancer's location can also affect the treatment options.
What causes stomach cancer?
Stomach cancer occurs when normally healthy cells within the upper digestive system become cancerous and grow out of control, forming a tumor. This process happens slowly. Stomach cancer tends to develop over many years.
Stomach cancer develops when cells in the lining of the stomach grow and divide in an abnormal way. Tumors can begin anywhere in the stomach, although most start in the glandular tissue found on the stomach's inner surface (mucosa). This type of cancer is called adenocarcinoma of the stomach (also known as gastric cancer).

Cancer starts when cells in the body start to grow out of control. Rectal cancer is a cancer that starts in the colon or the rectum. This cancer can also be named as colon cancer, depending on where they start. Most colorectal cancers start as a growth on the inner lining of the colon or rectum. These growths are called polyps.
How rectal cancer spreads?
If cancer forms in a polyp, it can grow into the wall of the colon or rectum over time. The wall of the colon and rectum is made up of many layers. Rectal cancer starts in the innermost layer (the mucosa) and can grow outward through some or all of the other layers. The stage (extent of spread) of a colorectal cancer depends on how deeply it grows into the wall and if it has spread outside the colon or rectum. Bowel cancer may also be called colon cancer or rectal cancer, depending on where the cancer is located and begins.

Pancreatic cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the pancreas. Pancreatic cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancerous) cells form in the tissues of the pancreas. The pancreas is a gland located behind the stomach and in front of the spine. Pancreatic cancer happens when uncontrolled cell growth begins in a part of the pancreas. Tumors develop, and these interfere with the way the pancreas works.
How pancreatic cancer occurs?
Pancreatic Cancer occurs when damaged cells grow in an uncontrolled way. When the genetic materials that contain instructions for all biochemical processes within the pancreas are damaged or mutated, cancer cells are allowed to replicate. Pancreatic Cancer often starts within the cells of the pancreatic ducts, and these then spread to the rest of the pancreas.

Healthy cells grow and divide in an orderly way to keep your body functioning normally. But when a cell's DNA is damaged and becomes cancerous, cells continue to divide - even when new cells aren't needed. As the cells accumulate, they form a tumor. With time, the cancer cells can grow to invade and destroy normal tissue nearby. Colon cancer is a type of cancer that develops when tumorous growths develop in the large intestine. Over time some of these polyps can become colon cancers. Colon cancer is sometimes called colorectal cancer, which is a term that combines colon cancer and rectal cancer, which begins in the rectum.
How does colon cancer start?
In general, colon cancer begins when healthy cells in the colon develop changes (mutations) in their DNA. A cell's DNA contains a set of instructions that tell a cell what to do. It usually begins as small, noncancerous (benign) clumps of cells called polyps that form on the inside of the colon. Most colon cancers begin as benign polyps. These are either flat or knob-like growths on the lining of the large intestine. While some polyps remain benign (non-cancerous), some may become malignant (cancerous) over time.

Breast cancer starts when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control. The tumor is malignant (cancer) if the cells can grow into (invade) surrounding tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body. Breast cancer occurs almost entirely in women, but men can get breast cancer, too. Breast cancers can start from different parts of the breast. Most breast cancers begin in the ducts that carry milk to the nipple (ductal cancers). Some start in the glands that make breast milk (lobular cancers). Breast cancer can spread when the cancer cells get into the blood or lymph system and are carried to other parts of the body. It's also important to understand that most breast lumps are benign and not cancer (malignant). Non-cancerous breast tumors are abnormal growths, but they do not spread outside of the breast and they are not life threatening. We at CAN-C are well-known for breast cancer treatment in Bangalore.
How breast cancer starts?
Changes or mutations in DNA can cause normal breast cells to become cancer. Certain DNA changes are passed on from parents (inherited) and can greatly increase your risk for breast cancer. Other lifestyle-related risk factors can increase your chance of developing breast cancer.
